I am not suprised…

Today, yet another company (Hostess) has come out and stated that due to continued pressure by unions to both increase pay, and provide additional benefits during a time when they Hostess is showing a net loss of more than 15 million; they are going to liquidate their assets and shut the company down.

What a tradegy. More than 18,000 jobs will be lost nationwide, a company spokesman said it was tradgic but they could not afford an extended strike as they were already losing money. And it isn’t like the employees were working under slave labor conditions. Says one former employee;

“Many production workers earned up to $20 an hour, plus had access to medical benefits, according to Michael O’Brien, a former Hostess employee who had worked at the company for 45 years, in various sales functions, before he was offered a buyout last year” (cnnmoney.com)

I am sure with the current government in place, and the mandate of new taxes against the rich and middle class, along with the Obamacare “tax” burden to companies around the nation, the trend of companies downsizing or closing down alltogether, will continue.

And what does that mean for the consumer; prices of goods will continue to rise. Just look at Papa John’s Pizza, and 40+ privately owned Denny’s in the south east. Both have stated that cut backs to workers hours and increase to customer bills will begin immediately to compenstate for the Obamacare bills, and added taxes to their bottom line.

How can the US continue down this path, and think it is good for our country!? The idea that ANYONE, that includes you and me, are entitled to #anything# other than the promise of saftey afforded to us by our government is beyond me. This government is destroying our nation, and if we don’t wake up, we will be the next Spain or Greece.

The #1 Threat to our Nation

Is it the continued dependence of foreign oil?

Is it Al-queda?

Is it Abortion or Planned Parenthood?

Is it Gay Rights and Gay Marriage?

Maybe it is unemployment in the US. With around 1 in 10 unemployed or underemployed in our nation today… that is a major issue.

All of these are important, without a shadow of a doubt. They are all things that we as a nation should be concerened with, and address now. But they aren’t the #1 threat to this nation.

I contend that the #1 threat facing our nation today is our national debt. And it isn’t just me; Adm. Mike Mullen, with more than a 43 year record serving our nation, says that the military challenges of our nation aren’t the threat. The national debt is the threat.

As stated in a recent interview, Mullen said

I said it was — and I still believe this — that it’s the single biggest threat to our national security.

To gloss over this fact is to completly ignore the devistation that our nationl debt is having on our financial, military, and domestic health. But without our people, and our govn’t admitting that this is a problem, we will not begin to find a solution.

Recently, Obama was asked by (of all people) David Letterman, if he was concerend about our nations debt, and Obama quickly stated,

…the debt was a long and medium-term problem, but not an issue in the short-term

This is the leader or this great nation, completely unable to recognize the severity of our nations mounting debt; and also putting the weight of national debt resolution on those to follow him. That is my childen, and my childrens children. So they will have to pay for this generations selfish ways.

If the nation were to shut down today, and all interest were to cease accruing, the national debt per household would stand at nearly $150,000 per household. That is an astonishing figure considreing that the average household income stands at less thatn $55,000 per household (which is down from nearly $58,000 when Obama took office), and represents a 60% increase since Obama took office.

This generation. This administration. We MUST solve this problem before it destorys us. The national debt is our nations single biggest threat.

What do you think, do you think this is the

Unemployment Report for September 2012 – The Truth

The department of labor released September numbers this morning and it doesn’t look good.

Obama will most likely talk today about the unemployment rate dropping below 8% for the firs time in 45 months (the longest the unemployment has been above 8% in our nations history… longer than even the great depression).

But this couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Although unemplyment did drop below 8% (7.8% is the actuall number), that amount only takes into account those collecting unemployment and does not take into account those who have taken on part time jobs (to support themselves while they CONTINUE to work for full time GAINFUL employment), and does not take into account those who have dropped out of the unemployment system due to extended unemployment (99 weeks) when their unemployment runs out. 114,000 new jobs were created last month, but 350,000 NEW people went on unemployment. That is a net increase of 236,000 who are unemployed.

So if there is an increase of 200,000 people in unemployment, how does the unemployment rate go DOWN as the president will most likely tout on his self chest beating promotion tour?

Simple, when count all those who have limited income (but aren’t on unemploymnt, part time jobs) and who have fallen out of Unemployment due to the 99 week limit for unemployment, or who have dropped out of the workforce because they cannot find gainful employment and those who are UNDEREMPLOYED (have full time and/or part time jobs until they can find gainful employment at the level of income they were at prior to being unemployed) what you have is an REAL unemployment rate of about 15%. 15%!!!!!

When we calcuate it out. The U-3 report shows that 11.5+ million people are unemployed, but the U-6 report shows that more than 20 MILLION PEOPLE ARE CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED OR UNDEREMPLOYED. This is a STAGGERING number.

So today, when the president tells you things are looking better. It is a lie, hidden in the numbers.

Get the facts for yourself. Don’t rely on the president to tell you the truth, or any politician for that matter. Get the facts. Learn. Read. Educate yourself. Pass this on!!!! People should know the truth.
